Beerwolf Books is set in a courtyard slightly off the road that runs through Falmouth.  When you walk up the flight of stairs into bar, the first thing you actually notice is a bookshop.

Inside Beerwolf is a genuine bookshop with a decent selection of books.  And if someone was checking up on where you’ve been, you could legitimately say you’ve been looking at books (and miss out the drinking bit!).  

The rest of the floor is a very cool and chilled bar.  With a youngish crowd, with a few oldies like me mixed in.  It feels cool without being pretentious.  There are pinball machines to play or nice quiet corners to sit in.

And if you want some fresh air on a warm evening, then you can take your drink downstairs and sit in the courtyard.

Jacobs Ladder is situated away from the high street that runs through town.  In fact, if you are going the direct route from the moors, then you have some extremely steep steps to climb your way up.  But it’s well worth the effort.

It is a decent sized pub which can get lively on a Friday night. And the pub goers are very friendly.  The karaoke is well worth a listen including a selection of more obscure tracks such as The Smiths.  Something I’d not heard before at a karaoke.

There is a separate room with a pool table and a decent sized screen to watch the sport.  Whilst this pub feels slightly separate from the rest of the pubs because of it’s location, it is well worth a visit.
