Eden Project is situated up near St Austell. During the summer they book some well known acts for their summer sessions. I’ve seen The Pet Shop Boys play there and also Fat Boy Slim. And as you would expect, they were both quality. I’ve seen the Pet Shop Boys several times down the years and they’re as good as ever. I saw Fat Boy Slim for the first time and it was an absolute master class in keeping the crowd involved and bouncing.

You get a wide range of artists coming here. From rock band Biffy Clyro to pop star Gary Barlow, there is something for all tastes. Indie groups Suede and the Manic Street Preachers played a double header here in 2024.

The venue itself is outdoors. But is the perfect size. The crowd isn’t too big and you have a great view wherever you are. But it’s big enough so that you feel part of a crowd and there is a great atmosphere.

You can stand on the area in front of the stage or on the grass bank at the bank. Either is great.

Park Live takes places during the summer months in Kimberley Park in Falmouth. This is run by local Falmouth radio station Source FM. Kimberley Park is right near the centre of town and hosts this event on the last Sunday of the month. From April to September.

It is outdoors so take along a blanket to sit on the grass and a brolly in case it rains. Occasionally it can be called off due to inclement weather, so make sure to check the forecast beforehand and see if it is still on.

The acts that are on are mainly local Cornish talent and there is a fabulous variety of performers. I’ve heard Cornish rap, a 15 man harmony group, the blues, indie and acoustic folk music here. And enjoyed all of it. The vibe is relaxed and you can get a nice sized crowd (not too big) if the weather is decent.
