The Chain Locker doesn’t have a regular music night but it does book in performers playing their music from time to time.  The man in the picture playing outside the pub is well known Cornish musician Will Keating. He played a quality set, on a lovely Sunday afternoon, with people packed on the pub benches down there. A great listen and performance.

Like a lot of other venues, the Chain Locker has groups performing there during the excellent Sea Shanty Festival. 

The pub always has a great atmosphere, so going there when there is live music on only makes it even better.

Listening to music whilst being right next to the harbour is a most enjoyable way to spend some time.

The Moth & Moon has regular nights each week where you can watch performers playing music in their pub. They book in acts for Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons.  They also have an open night for local performers to come in and play on Wednesday evenings.

Sitting in the downstairs lounge whilst someone is performing is one of my favourite ways to spend some time. I’m always impressed by live performers and the quality of the musicians at the open nights was superb. 

Listening to folk music in a cosy pub was one of the reasons why I wanted to move down to Cornwall.
