The Working Boat

Situated in beautiful Greenbank

The Working Boat pub is a lovely place to drink and is found on the Greenbank quay at the end of Falmouth.  It is a beautiful venue with views over the river to Flushing and across the harbour.

The pub is situated under the Greenbank Hotel and is very smart.  The food is delicious as well with the Sunday roast very much recommended.  As is the cheesecake for those with a sweet tooth like me.

During the summer months sitting outside is a great place to wile away the evening.  It’s such a peaceful spot. And there is a marquee erected if you want to sit on the quay under cover and enjoy your drink there.

If you love a quiz then Sunday evenings are for you.  The quiz is excellent with decent prizes; bar tabs, bottles of wine….. and tea bags for the team that comes last!

On my first ever trip down to Cornwall, the Chain Locker was the first pub I popped into.  I immediately loved it.  It’s sat right on the harbour.  And has apparently been there since the 16th century.

It is warm and cosy during the winter months.  During the summer there are plenty of places to sit outside.  It is always really popular and deservedly so.  There is always a friendly atmosphere here.

There are plenty of decorations on the walls which adds to the character.  Not an empty space!  There is a restaurant upstairs which amazing views of the harbour.  And very decent food.
